Shoulder Sculpting

My shoulders (and back and arms and thighs) have recently been on my mind as I’ve tried on numerous wedding dresses this past summer. I’m still not quite so sure what’s the deal with 90% of wedding dresses being strapless. I personally don’t like looking naked in close up photos, but that’s my own thing (and I get that I’m in the minority here). So as I’m telling salespeople, “No, I do not want a strapless dress”, and seeing a frantic look of “Well, then what am I going to pull for this girl?”, (never mind when I tell them I don’t want tulle, a train, or a veil), I can’t help but think about what brides go through to get their shoulders, arms and backs in tip top shape.
For me, I’ve started doing pilates in hopes of developing arms like my trainer’s. For others, apparently now there’s shoulder liposuction. Of course the doctors are quick to say it’s only for the already thin…just so we’ll believe that there are some kind of standards here.

myself, I wore a full ,long sleeve ,sequins dress, I was huge then, I felt like the big white cloud, michelen man, with alot of dress weight swelling and train, very heavy dress too.not fun.I hear ya on the close ups not wanting to look naked, for face shots, makes sense, when youre kids also see the photos and say mommy what were you wearing, yikes, lol.
The liposuction thing is wow! It never ends! I could loose ten pounds with out a doubt and be at a great weight, my bones stick out regardless, because I dont work out, genetics. As you get older as you can see in pictures, the weight distributes to the stomache, butt, or thighs.
The dresses run so much smaller, whats up with that?!
Do you have to go under for this lipo procedure? Im sure there is a risk as there is to every surgery, infection, necrosis, hematomas, and in this case there are alot of muscles in this area.
Kacey, you are beautiful, dont worry you will be a breath taking bride! GOD BLESS

… Sighs … and shakes head………
Next thing you know, they’ll be doing those “height extention” leg-implant things like they portrayed in the movie “GATTACA”.

Kacey you are beautiful. Maybe you can do a cute shawl over the strapless number. Pilates is great, cardio is great and lifting weights is great to tone up!

Kacey,
I’m with you, I don’t like strapless wedding dresses. Years ago when I was looking, there were very few strapless gowns and I was glad because my shoulders looked like the model in this picture! I do not like that look nor anything strapless.
I guess its just the style right now.
Personally, I like the style that Princess Dianna wore for her wedding. The one gown I picked out had sleeves like that only not as puffy.
Keep looking because you will find the one you will fall in love with. I knew as soon as I found the right one.
This shoulder sculpting is sick. I’ve had shoulders like that all my life and I don’t like that look at all. Why the hell would someone want to look like all bones???
It’s just not very attractive at all. I feel like throwing her a hamburger! LOL

Beth, you made me laugh with the hamburger comment. I could just picture your hurdling a burger through the air at this tiny woman
