Krista, I know a lady that was a member of Nikki's site for a while. She decided to have her implants removed and was very nervous about the decision. She was a member of both a Nikki's site and my site which we know is all about the truth. (I don't want to actually post the URL to Nikki's site as that will rank her higher in the search engines and we don't want that!) Anyway, this lady was in such distress that she was going back and forth from my site to Nikki's as she was so damn confused as to what to do. She finally realized that there were just too many sick women out there and went to Dr. Feng for removal. She was in Ohio when she tried posting on Nikki's site for support and to her surprise, she was banned! She was banned just because she decided on explantation!

As for Kacey's comment, very good point and I think it is important that some of these sites are named so close to the pro implant sites. I get a good number of members join my group thinking it is pro implant because of the name and to their surprise they start reading the horror stories. The members of my group have been very sucessful in getting ladies to change their mind regarding breast augmentation. All because they stumble upon a forum thinking its all about implants and not for ladies looking to explant because they are sick or just hate their implants.

I've even seen Nicole from www.implantinfo.com turn against one of her most faithful "posters." A girl who I saw post very frequently answering questions from other girls said something Nicole didn't like...a new girl asked if silicone could travel to other parts of your body, and the faithful poster answered back and said "yes, it is possible for silicone to travel to other parts of your body, get stuck in your lymph nodes, etc." She even pointed out that the FDA website clearly points this out. She was just being perfectly honest. Well, Nicole immediately jumps in and says "now girls, this isn't a place to start nasty rumors, this kind of talk needs to stop right now." Well, the faithful poster posted back..."I have been posting here a long time, and I have always been honest, I have never started nasty rumors." And, I never saw her post again. Just goes to show...Nicole will even turn against the girls that are very pro-implant if they say something she doesn't like.

I'm glad this brought up the issue of Nicole's website (www.implantinfo.com). I'm just glad that her site is so close to Dr. Zuckerman's www.breastimplantinfo.org, that hopefully women will stumble upon the credible one (Dr. Z's), instead of the one supported by breast implant manufacturer's and surgeons. If you take the time to read the science-based information at www.breastimplantinfo.org, there's no way you can walk away believing that breast implants are safe.

I find it interesting how Nicole from www.implantinfo.com tells the girls/women ALL the time that they should do a lot of research, get all the information, get all their questions answered..blah blah blah. But, then she turns around and blocks women from posting on her site if they say anything negative about implants. How is that for making sure all of the girls get all of the information? She is a total hypocrite. What's sad to me is that forum is where so many girls go to get all of the information before they make their decision. How can you get all of the information if the moderator blocks anything negative? You are only getting one side!

I was banned several times from both of those sites. I find it interesting that when I posted the name of my website and asked the other members to please read my experience with saline breast implants before going through with the surgery, within three minutes, it was deleted. I think that all women need to at least be able to make an informed decision by hearing the good, bad and ugly. So I must ask myself why are they hiding the truth? That was a rhetorical question of course as I know why they do this! They are terrified of the truth getting out there and these PS's might lose some money.

I have women join my group because they just happened to come across it and make comments that they are very happy with their implants. I sure as hell don't ban them but instead advise them to read all the stories and info there so that when they start experiencing problems, they will know its the implants. I went from doctor to doctor for 3 years wondering why I just continued to get sicker and sicker and some of my symptoms were just not consistent with what I had been diagnosed with.

These people have one goal and that is to try and convince as many women as possible that these devices are safe and the rest of us that have become ill would have become ill anyway. However, I find it interesting that we all improve after the toxic bags are removed!

I no longer bother with those sites because I know that the existence of my forum alone is enough to make their blood boil. We are all helping to get the truth out there. Although I believe all implants should be banned, I know that will never happen so instead I think women at least should have enough information available to them so they know what they are getting into. That was a hell of a lot more than was offered to me.

I see a world someday where few women have implants and there are clear warnings that come along with them much like what has happened with the tobacco companies. It will happen, it will just take time. I remember when you would turn on the TV and the actors were smoking on every show. Every magazine and billboard was an advertisement for cigarettes. That has now been banned and I believe that the breast implant manufacturer's day will come as well. I'm a bit older than the other ladies on this blog but when I was a kid, everyone smoked. Now very few people smoke and of course recently has been banned in most public places. Very few people smoke because they know too many people that have died of lung cancer and the truth about the dangers of cigarettes have been revealed to all and states it on the package.

All we can hope for is a similar fate for breast implants.

AMEN!

Kacey-Good find on the "good doctor." Girls out there need to know what is going on with the plastic surgeon world....that they are paying people LOTS of money to put the "good" word out there about implants. It's just like Nicole from implantinfo.com and other websites, those women are paid big bucks by plastic surgeons to host websites and forums. Girls think those websites and forums are unbiased and that they are getting ALL of the info they need in order to make an informed decision. It is simply not true. If you say something negative on those sites, your comments will get deleted and you will be blocked from further posting (I know that first hand, BTW.) Girls need to know this, they are NOT getting all of the info they need by visiting the popular implant sites because they are regulated by the plastic surgeons themselves.
Plastic surgeons will do whatever it takes to glamorize, and make breast implants seem like "everyone is doing it, they are perfectly safe." Come on girls, if they weren't doing this, they wouldn't have a job! Think about it.

"Doctor" is apparently a plastic surgeon named, Dr. Adams. I thought you guys might like to know what Dr. Edward Melmed, another plastic surgeon, said in regards to Doctor's comments (by the way, Dr. Melmed has removed over 1,000 sets of breast implants):

"Dr. Adams is a paid consultant for the implant manufacturers.

I asssume he is correct in that he has put in many implants.

Why did he take so many out when there are no problems with them???" ~Dr. Edward Melmed

I was wondering how a plastic surgeon would have the time to search the Internet for breast-related items. Now I get it, it's his JOB. Hey guys, this happens wayyyy more than you think.

Mr. Engineer - Interesting comment and more of a reason to wonder what on earth would posses someone to use PVC in anything let alone implants that are placed in a woman's body?

This truly is insane and has come about by GREED!

One last comment and that is that I had mold growing in my implants as well. That mold no doubt got into my body because of faulty valves on my Mentor implants but we are hearing more about mold on shower curtains than the mold that grows within saline implants!

I was going to ask you 'babes' to post your pictures to back up that 'extremely beautiful, young, in-shape, intelligent' description, just to be ornery. But I looked and you DO have photos posted in your 'about' section. And you aren't exagerating.
--Anyway, it's easy to be ornery/hard to use irony in print, so...

Keeping ourselves natural, inside and out, from breasts to shower curtains, makes the most sense...no matter how safe the studies done so far or presented so slantedly say.

Keep up the good work, girls...er, I mean, women.

Bob/Truth/Interesting or whatever your name is....have you looked around to even see what this blog/site is all about?

Before you go making judgments calls on who is writing these blogs and comments....maybe you should take a look around. I think the first place you need to stop is at the top right corner where it says "about Kacey, Krista and Gretchen." You will learn VERY quickly that all 3 of us are in fact very good looking, young, in-shape, intelligent (need I go on) women.

Then, when you read a little about us there, you can then click on each of our individual websites to read about all of the horrific things we have been through due to having breast implants in our body. I think you will have a brand new outlook on these comments and these posts.

And, hopefully by doing that you will see very quickly that we are so far from jealous of anyone that has breast implants, that your comments are absolutely and completely ridiculous.

We are also so far from femi-nazis, with low self-esteem, that just "want to control" others. The only thing we are doing is freely giving our time, our compassion and our hearts to help other women who are currently going through what we have been through, or helping them make good choices so that they do not have to go through what we have already gone through.

I think it time that you grow up, look around and see what is really happening around you instead of being so close-minded.
