Chelsea Handler, George Clooney, and Breast Implants

Chelsea Lately

Last night while catching up with one of my favorite late night shows, Chelsea Lately, I was reminded of yet another reason why I love comedian Chelsea Handler.  She’s not afraid to say what’s on her mind, even if it contradicts popular opinion (exhibit A, when Jenny McCarthy came on her show to talk about the Autism/vaccine connection).

June 12th’s episode was no exception, when the round table discussion decided to take on the concept of breast implants.

Sarah Larson (George Clooney’s now ex-girlfriend)  apparently got breast implants right before they broke up and it turns out that George didn’t like that.  Reportedly George Clooney told Sarah not to get breast implants and she got them anyway.  And now the only woman that seemed to really captivate Mr. Clooney has been cast off of George island.

George Clooney and Sarah Larson

 ”You know you’re the man when you beak up with your girlfriend for getting a boob job,” said comedian Owen Benjamin at the Chelsea Lately round table.

I’m not quite sure how to take this comment, but Chelsea’s really got my attention:

“I’m pretty excited.  I like hearing that guys don’t like fake boobs because I think people should stop getting fake boobs and I think girls should stop getting plastic surgery.” ~Chelsea Handler

Chelsea Handler

THANK YOU, CHELSEA, for taking a chance and saying something positive!  I’m with you, let’s help girls turn their focus away from plastic surgery.  Perhaps she has heard that breast implants are not a healthy option?

  1. I’ve always thought Chelsea Handler was awesome….and now and I think she is even more awesome! We NEED to have more women like Chelsea out in the entertainment business telling women how ridiculous breast implants are. Go Chelsea!!!
    Oh, by the way….I can’t believe the number of men who have told me lately how they prefer a woman with natural breasts, even if they are small, men prefer natural over fake plastic bags. Come on women…listen up!!!

  2. Krista, you are right. More men than ever are willing to say that they prefer women with natural breasts. I think the only reason they’re intrigued by implants is just because they are curious. Once the shock and awe factor wears off, I’m betting that the majority (the good ones anyway) would say they prefer all-natural to fake any day. And if they know about the illnesses that can be linked to breast implants, men would be sheilding their loved ones from the toxic bags. How many men would say, “Sure honey, get breast implants. Who cares if your hair falls out, you get arthritis, can no longer work, and kids (having or taking care of them) are out of the question? Go ahead, build your self-confidence.”

  3. I think a lot of guys would become really resentful if they are trying to build a life and a family with the woman they love, but see so much of the family’s hard-earned money — that should have gone into a down payment for a house, dance lessons for the kids, then college funds and retirement funds — going into maintaining breast implants. Or, the wife could choose NOT to spend the money at all, which is even worse!

  4. I just read an article saying that he paid for her implants and he paid to have her teeth fixed last year. The rumor is that he left her because she was ’sleeping around in sin city’. We might never know for sure.

    Maybe more will come out about this story in the coming days. I know he has been single for a very long time.

  5. Like I’ve been reading a lot lately, there’s a huge different between what women think men want and what men actually want. Then again, it only takes a few bad male apples to seemingly ruin the whole barrel…

  6. Beth, I had heard that although Clooney was against Sarah getting breast implants, he did agree to let her recooperate at his house. I thought that was pretty decent of him, especially if they were about to (or already were) broken up. I haven’t heard that he’s paid for the surgery, but you never know.

  7. No doubt, Mr. Clooney is not amused by Larson’s publicity; however, that is precisely what she wanted from the get go.

    Supposedly…Larson, heretofore know as, LandSlutSharkSatan, (a user, manipulator, a schemer, and viper) used Clooney for several reasons, not the least of which was a bet $$$$$$$$. AND, she cashed-in six ways to Sunday. She bet that she could “work him”; it has been rumored that SHE WON THE BET per the Vanity Fair feature declaring her the IT Girls who landed Mr. Clooney. Mount yes, LAND, hell no… not even with her pole-vault prowess and go-go boots to boot.

    ~~~~~~~~Health Alert!!!!!!!!!
    Now, IT GIRL is synonymous with “rent-a-ho”. If you’ve had IT, you better get a shot of penicillin, drink some bleach, and bathe in bleach, for goodness sakes.
    —————————————————————————
    It’s been very obvious to me that she used every scenario to parlay (teehee) her “position” to hoard fame, and opportunity while using him with all the indifference of selecting toilet paper. No doubt that the mysterious voice mail message came from true friend of Mr. Clooney’s who got wind of the big picture. I’ll bet you a dollar she had been seeing (euphemism for working overtime) other men in Vegas while “dating” her cash cow.
    In sum, Sara Lorraine LandSlutSharkSatan, is the hedonistic, lowbrow, bottom- feeder who has managed to cast a veil of impropriety upon ALL women: living, dead, and yet to be born.
    BTW: Good fodder for the show. She attained her goal…won the bet, will be a d-rated model for 13 minutes, and will have to live on her knees—no wonder he had to file down her teeth- for the rest of her life. But hell, she’s a pro.
    I would love to write sketch comedy and will sit at your round table, if you are game.
    Wow! How did I miss this story? …And why isn’t it being reported more in the gossip universe? If true, it’s another reason to admire George C!
    However, I did find this li’l nugget of ‘wiz-dumb’ most curious:
    [[”Sarah is said to love her new assets and is considering posing naked for adult magazine Playboy.”]]
    Please forgive me, because I’ve not flipped through the pages of PLAYBOY in a over a decade, so I’m unfamiliar if there were any recent changes & developments in this regard, but it had always been common knowledge that PLAYBOY’s policy was to ‘EXCLUDE’ “augmented” females and to focus solely on “naturally developed” women. So if this is still the case, she’s deluding herself and should toss out Hef’s # and call up smutmeister Larry Flint instead.
  9. Actually, 2 out of 3 of Hugh Hefner’s girlfriends admittedly have breast implants. The magazine doesn’t discriminate, natural or not. Whereas they once might have preferred originals, it seems as they have changed with the times.
  10. First Kiss and Kacey- It is true that Playboy used to have a policy of “only natural” beauties…no faker boobies. But, like Kacey said, I think that has changed. Which is utterly and completely sad because it is just feeding the problem. It would have been cool if Playboy would have stuck with that policy. I think more “small-chested” women would be more open to leaving well enough alone. It’s just sad. I think natural, small breasts are so gorgeous. Those big, grapefruit, fakers just look un-natural and ridiculous, even mine did.
  11. it’s easy for Chelsea to say that–she’s naturally beautiful. If she weren’t, she might feel differently.
