BB Surf 6: What We’ve Been Reading

Filed under: Breast Implants, Breasts, Celebrity, FDA, News, Women — Beauty and the Breast @ 12:00 pm

Associated Press, Kelly Rowland Had Breast Enhancement Here we go again. Rowland has every right to boost her self-esteem, but we just hope she was given all the right information and knew what she was getting herself into. Kudos to her for sending a note of warning to young girls about getting surgery, however small it was. (Must be nice to have enough extra cash to buy the body for the shirt, instead just wearing something else.)

Public Citizen, FDA’s Botox Warning Falls Short The FDA has admitted that Botox has been linked to “respiratory failure and death.” It’s good see a public statement about this kind of danger associated with a popular procedure (what a familiar story!) but we still wish they would make more of an effort to tell people the whole truth about a product before allowing them to get injected with it

Jezebel, New Bra Makes Women ‘Flawless’ by Erasing Their Nipples One more way for women to hide their natural form and make everyone forget that, oh, yeah, real breasts have nipples. We caught on to this a while ago; remember that ad for “seamless” lingerie?

International Women’s Day It’s tomorrow! Stephan Colbert gave this a moment of his attention (see below) but for more information about this hundred-year-old global celebration that even Google changes its logo for, check out their homepage. It’s an official holiday in 14 countries.
